Staffed by what nurses?

The sudden shift towards health-care privatization comes with significant risks for the public system. Quality of care is already compromised because Ontario is desperately short of experienced nurses - thousands of nursing positions are currently vacant because they can’t be filled. Any expansion of private care will pull more nurses out of the public system, making the staffing shortage worse and increasing the likelihood of service reductions and longer wait times.
